With spring right around the corner, the 2026 Mountain Valley Little League season is almost here! We’re excited to see so many players registered and ready to get back on the field. Here’s a quick update on what’s coming next. Get out your calendar and mark down these important dates.
Coaches Needed
Mountain Valley Little League is 100% volunteer-run, and we still need assistant coaches in all divisions. No experience is required; just a willingness to help and support the kids. If you’re interested, please email

Team Placements
Thank you to everyone who attended our winter evaluation clinics. Coaches have begun forming teams, and families should expect to hear by the end of next week about team and coach assignments.
Practices & Opening Day
Practices will begin the week of April 6, right after spring break. Coaches will reach out in late March with practice and game schedules and further details. (Tee-ball will begin practice on Saturday, April 11).
Opening Day is Saturday, April 25; we can’t wait to see the fields full again!
Dick’s Sporting Goods MVLL Sale
If your child still needs gear, you may want to wait! Dick’s Sporting Goods in Kingston will host a special sale just for MVLL families April 9-13. There will be plenty of discounts on baseball and softball equipment, and parents can get in on the savings too. More details coming soon.
Little League Day at the Hudson Valley Renegades
Join us Sunday, April 26 at 2 PM for a special professional baseball game when the Hudson Valley Renegades take on the Brooklyn Cyclones at Heritage Financial Park in Wappinger’s Falls. These are the Single-A Minor League affiliates of the Yankees and Mets, a classic cross-town rivalry, so be sure to sport some gear of your favorite team and catch a future star in action!
Tickets are $18, with $5 going directly to MVLL. Non-MVLL families are welcome. Players who arrive in uniform can participate in the TEAM OF DREAMS, playing catch in the outfield during warmups and standing with players for the National Anthem. Grab your tickets here:

Mountain Valley Little League Day
Our full-league celebration will be Saturday, May 16 at Grant Avery Park in Shokan with a player parade, concessions, raffles, a gear swap, and games for all teams. Save the date!
