April 16 - Grant Avery Park Cleanup Day

Thanks to the generosity and support of The Town of Olive, we will be returning to beautiful Grant Avery Park on Bostock Rd. in Shokan this year. The park's central location and dual fields make it an ideal place for us to play and we're very excited to be back. But the ballfields are not in playing condition. The main issue is the weeds that have sprung up in the infield dirt.

This Sunday, April 16, starting at 10 AM we will be hitting the fields to pull those weeds and do whatever other clean-up is necessary. The more folks we can get out there, the easier the job will be for everybody. Please come out and help! Bring rakes, spades, wheelbarrows, and whatever other implements of destruction you can find.

It's a big, gorgeous park with a playground, a pavilion, basketball hoops, and lots of room for kids to play (or help pull weeds ). We will provide pizza and refreshments. Any time you could give us, even if it's just an hour, will help us get these fields ready for a great season. Finally, please spread the word!
